Steve Dinda

Steve Dinda is a Chicago based freelance woodwind specialist and teacher.

He began his career in 2008, gigging with local jazz bands and musical productions. Earning his Bachelors Degree from Coastal Carolina University in 2013, Steve studied clarinet and saxophone and gained a multitude of experience in chamber music and musical theatre. In 2015, Steve graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Masters in Arts Administration. During this time, he worked for Chamber Music Charleston (SC) assisting in concert production and managing educational concerts in the South Carolina Lowcountry.

Steve moved to Chicago in 2017 to continue his musical journey. During this time he briefly studied with J. Lawrie Bloom of the Chicago Symphony, worked with the Chicago Clarinet Ensemble to premiere new works, and became the music director of the Lakeside Pride Music Ensembles Clarinet Choir.

During the 2020 pandemic, Steve worked diligently on the recorder and flute family, and developed a love for early music and the aerophone family. He also began developing his YouTube channel with a focus on creating videos that allowed young and amateur musicians to play along with duets and trios from the educational canon.
